About Court Colman Manor

Steeped in history, our country manor hotel lies in the foothills of the Garw Valley. It originally belonged to the Margam Abbey until its dissolution, before becoming a private residence and passing through several hands until it became a hotel in 1981.

In 1999, the late Vijay Bhagotra bought the manor – his 'dream hotel'. Having worked his whole life in the hospitality industry, he felt the time was right to bring this neglected building back to its former glory in his own inimitable style. Today his wife and son, along with Sanjeev and their team, are carrying his dream forwards. Vijay's foundations and vision are still present to this day and remain a delight for all guests to enjoy.

"Super dog friendly hotel"

2 night stay with our dog, wasn’t sure how taking our little dog to a hotel would work out, but need not have worried as it was fantastic. The hotel is set in lovely grounds with plenty of room for dog to run around, the hotel is dog friendly inside and outside and the staff were very friendly and accommodating...My husband had the Indian meal sat out in the beautiful gardens and said it was one of the best he had ever had

"Anniversary Stay"

We got married here back in 2012. We booked to celebrate our 8 year Wedding Anniversary. As luck would have it we stayed in the same room as our wedding night. Room 209. So that's extra special to us. We had our evening meal in Bokhara Indian restaurant. The food was out of this world. Especially the Peshware Naan! Delicious. Looking forward to our next stay already.

I recently stayed here as a weekend break with my husband and 3 year old son. The hotel was very accommodating, the staff were lovely and could not do enough to help. The rooms were clean and quirky. Would highly recommend the Indian restaurant on site. Have booked again for next year. Thank you all for a lovely stay.

The evening meal in the restaurant was outstanding, great food and great service. Breakfast the next day was equally delicious with happy, attentive staff. Another great stay in this first class manor.

"Another wonderful break"

My wife and I have been coming here for ten years. We’ve just returned from our latest short break and it was as wonderful as always. When we come up the drive it really does feel like we are coming home. The rooms are huge and very comfortable, the staff are super helpful and friendly and the restaurant is superb; I look forward to a meal here all year. Having Ollie the cat as the duty manager is also an added bonus! Thanks guys for a great couple of days, see you next year!
