Went to a wedding here best part was the staff they were excellent in fairness , serving staff and waiting staff . Food was really good could have done with more gravy though , few beers on draft pricing not to bad but later in the night in the function room the prices did go up , found a little hack there’s an Indian restaurant down the corridor and I asked was I allowed to order beer here and was told yes , much better choices and prices so all in all had a great day/night and would definitely recommend this place.

A delightful hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful- nothing was too much. The breakfast selection was amazing and Theresa was super helpful, professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again. It was a stopover for me before meeting friends and I enjoyed my time here. The Nepalese restaurant was also very good.

Staff were amazing and always happy and helpful. We stayed in the French suite which was absolutely fantastic. The room was clean and tidy with a superb bathroom. The evening meal in the restaurant was outstanding, great food and great service. Breakfast the next day was equally delicious with happy, attentive staff. Another great stay in this first class manor.

I have photographed a few weddings at this venue. The staff and managers have always been so lovely and helpful. The grounds are stunning for wedding photos and there are some lovely spots indoors if it's raining. Can't wait to shoot here again soon!

Visited for Mothers Day with my family. Food was excellent to say the least. Pig starters amazing, lamb dinner amazing and apple & almond crumble exquisite. Totally 5* dining.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights in the Morroccan Room. The bed was comfy, the room was large and spacious and the double bath was fantastic. The staff were warm and welcoming and the breakfast was exemplary. I will be going back again and I would highly recommend anyone to treat themselves to a break here.

The room I occupied was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The food was also quite impressive, with the breakfast being particularly noteworthy. It was evident that great care and attention had been put into the preparation and presentation of the morning meal, and I believe other hotels could benefit from taking note of their approach. As someone who considers breakfast to be the most important meal of the day, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We didn’t eat there in the evening so can’t comment on the food but going by the standard of breakfast it would be amazing. We took our dog with us too and they were very accommodating in that regard. All staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.

I am hoping that if not abroad, we will have many other anniversaries in this lovely old lady of an hotel. It's a very special place to us. They couldn't do enough for us at our wedding, and this continues in their customer service after the event.

Beautiful building set in a secluded spot with lovely views. Stunning grounds, ideal wedding venue. We booked a small double room and it was much nicer that we expected. Clean, nicely decorated and lots of traditional charm. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice.

The staff were like something I would have expected for a celebrity or royalty! I felt like a princess all day and every single guest said the same, each and every one of you made our special day complete and we are eternally grateful. The venue, grounds, rooms, food, atmosphere, facilities and staff were magical. Truly magical and I think of that day all the time, it is one of my most treasured memories.

Reception staff, were fantastically patient, considerate and loads of advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble and where small niggles were identified, they resolved them straight away.

My wife and I got married here yesterday, and I cannot fault Allison, the wedding planner, the wonderful serving staff and of course the star of the show on reception who checked with me if I was OK before, during and after the wedding at every chance he had.
